This product is placed on the forward drive direction of frame-less glass panes- covering the front leg of the glass.  This protects the very sesitive edge of the tempered glass pane (most of which are 1/8" thick) from impacts of road debris.  
 
 Black color complements the frame-less glass well, and isn't loud in appearance.  The vent window panes still funciton properly with this edge protector on them.  
 
  Easy to install, as it is just slid onto the edge of the glass, pressed on firmly. The metal ribbing within this add pressure to hold it onto the surface, where it is placed.  Metal ribbing is nested within the middle and never is at risk of touching the glass itself.
